From 12th January 2006, Assam Gramin Vikash Bank (AGVB) came into existence in January 2006 with Head Office at Guwahati. AGVB formed due to an amalgamation of Pragjyotish Gaonlia Bank, Lakhimi Gaonlia Bank, Cachar Gramin Bank and Subansiri Gaonlia Bank, all sponsored by United Bank of India. Assam Gramin Vikash Bank covers 25 out of 27 districts of the State through its strong network of 414 branches. While AGVB?s genesis has its roots in the interest of the customers, stakeholders and the staff, the broader objectives of the amalgamation are.
